"The true honor is reserved for the real men and women throughout the world who face evil, stand up to it, and risk their lives so others might live free."

David C. Jamison, executive director of the Foundation to Illuminate America's Heroes stated, "We believe that this is the first time ever that a film treatment to develop and produce a major motion picture has been produced and distributed in the form of a video. The Foundation is launching this film treatment video on YouTube to illuminate the incredible and inspirational story of legendary Hollywood producer, Merian C. Cooper and his fellow American fighter pilots who formed the Kosciuszko Squadron and fought as volunteers in the Polish-Soviet War of 1919-1921. They truly repaid America's greatest debt to the foreign heroes who voluntarily risked their lives by coming to America's aid in America's Revolutionary War.”

Jamison went on to state: "The Foundation to Illuminate America's Heroes is using this film treatment video on YouTube as the start of the first ever social media campaign to finance a major motion picture through social media via donations from the worldwide grassroots public to a charitable foundation. The Foundation urges all viewers of our film treatment video honoring Merian C. Cooper and the brave American and Polish pilots of the Kosciuszko Squadron to email a link of this YouTube video to all of their good friends and contacts and ask them to do the same in order to create an ever-expanding viral campaign to spread this heroic story of unparalleled honor, courage, sacrifice and selflessness to the whole world.

William Ciosek, a founding director of the Foundation to Illuminate America's Heroes, who has researched this story for many years and is the author of the film treatment, "Honor to You!" stated: "We believe that the incredible and inspirational true life story of Merian C. Cooper and his fellow American and Polish fighter pilots of the Kosciuszko Squadron, is the greatest true story of sacrifice, heroism and honor, not yet fully exposed to the world. The mission of the Foundation to Illuminate American Heroes is to develop this inspirational true story into a major motion picture for the whole world to see. We urge everyone who honors these great heroes to forward a link to our YouTube film treatment video and to our website: http://www.illuminateamericasheroes.com to all of their friends and contacts, asking them to do the same, in order to spread both this great true story and the Foundation's mission of producing a major motion picture.

Mr. Jamison was a key deputy to Pulitzer Prize winning investigative reporter Jack Anderson for many years in Washington, DC. It was Jack Anderson’s dream to form a foundation to illuminate these American heroes through motion pictures, television shows, books and educational programs. It was Jack Anderson’s specific dream to develop the inspirational true story of Merian Cooper and his fellow American fighter pilots of the Kosciuszko Squadron into a major motion picture for the world to see. Jack Anderson’s son, Randy, is a founding director of the foundation as is their mutual lifetime friend, William Ciosek.

The Foundation seeks donations from the grassroots public to Illuminate America’s heroes and to help develop the Merian Cooper-Kosciuszko Squadron story into a major feature film to inspire others.
