Jan's Paperbacks, an independently owned and operated bookstore has modernized their business model to keep up with changes in the literary and publishing world and today's economic climate. Jan's Paperbacks now offers online shopping with an extensive book inventory including Google ebooks.

Jan’s Paperbacks, a community mainstay for selling, reselling, and trading paperback books, has a new online shopping website with increased inventory, and are now selling new hardcover and paperback books as well as Google ebooks through their new website, Jan’s Paperbacks is an independently owned and operated bookstore in operation since 1981. Jan’s Paperbacks is modernizing their business model to keep up with the many changes in the literary and publishing world, and today’s economic climate.

In an era where many brick and mortar bookstores are folding while stays competitive and growing, Debbie Burke, owner of Jan’s Paperbacks has entered the global community by selling books through the company website. “With the advent of online shopping and more people purchasing E Readers, this was an obvious and proactive business choice,” Burke explains. Since taking over the business in 2000, Burke has taken the store to the next level, implementing a computerized inventory and customer computer system as well as an online presence with an online store that offers new books as well as Google ebooks.

In addition, Jan’s Paperback’s offers classes for using E Readers, book signings by local authors, as well as dedicated shelf space for local authors to display and sell their latest releases. Jan's also supports the community through events and sponsorships. Jan’s Paperbacks offers monthly book group meetings open to the public, often choosing local author’s books to review.
