CNP-Solutions Gives $1,000,000 in Gifts for Merchants Hit By Economy

Payments consultants CNP-Solutions gifted one million dollars in services yesterday for merchants in need of a boost during this dismal economy. The 10 gifts, worth up to $100,000 each, were given to CNP-Solutions top industry partners, who were asked to “Pay it forward” to a merchant of theirs. The 10 recipients were revealed Thursday on Twitter @CNPsolutions #PayItForward2012.

CNP-Solutions gave away $1,000,000 (one million dollars) worth of services for merchants in need of a quick increase to their bottom lines this week. The S.T.A.R.S. assessments, worth up to $100,000 each, were given to 10 of CNP-Solutions’ partners in the industry: Programmers Investment Corporation, Chase Paymentech, PPS Merchant Services, Litle & Co., Kount, Merchant eSolutions, Quova, Optimal Payments, Vidicia and Payventures. The recipient companies have been encouraged to “pay it forward,” and     re-gift the assessments to a merchant who is in need of CNP-Solutions’ services, but who might not be willing to make a large financial commitment in the current economic climate. The gifts arrived on the desks of the recipient companies Thursday, January 05, 2012 and were announced on Twitter @CNPsolutions and #PayItForward2012.

Merchants Increase Bottom Line Without Increasing Sales
CNP-Solutions provides consulting services to card not present merchants and solutions providers in the payments industry. Their Strategic Tool for Assessment of Revenue Streams (S.T.A.R.S.) isolates nine categories of a merchant’s billing and payments vulnerabilities through a series of questions answered with the assistance of company founder, Scott Tivey. The process takes between 20 and 130 hours to complete, and depending on the size and scope of the merchant, can cost up to $100,000 dollars. “Through the implementation of our suggestions and recommendations, companies can see an increase in revenue without having to acquire one extra customer,” Tivey, who designed the assessment, insists, “and these days, that is something merchants can definitely use.”

Company Gets More Dollars for Card Not Present Merchants
Scott Tivey, formerly with The Synapse Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Time, Inc., spent the first half of his career building card-processing systems for the magazine subscription giant. He then went to a small, private niche consultancy before leaving to start his own shop with others who bring specific expertise. “No other company in existence today,” Tivey explains, “can boast our level of experience on both the technology and the merchant side of the payments equation. I have designed and built the systems myself, and I’ve specialized in improving business operations recapturing or saving hundreds of millions of bottom line dollars for companies.”
