Jim Mahony, Director of CSG Government Solutions’ Unemployment Insurance Practice, is quoted in the current issue of Government Technology magazine. In the front-page article “Shared and Regional Services are on the Rise”, Mr. Mahony offers his insights on multi-state initiatives that share resources to address pressing information technology needs.
CSG recently conducted a feasibility study for a common unemployment insurance system with the four-state Southeast Consortium Unemployment Benefits Initiative. The consortium includes the states of Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. “The multi-state consortium model has unique challenges, but the potential cost savings to the participating states are significant,” says Mr. Mahony. “In the current budget environment, sharing resources across states is receiving a lot of attention.” CSG is also currently working on unemployment insurance modernization projects in Michigan, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Mexico and Florida.
CSG Government Solutions continues to increase its presence across the United States. The company deploys highly experienced teams and its proprietary CSG REALize℠ collection of public sector systems modernization methods, knowledge and automated tools to help governments modernize their most complex program enterprises.
