Northern Westchester Hospital announced today that Marla Koroly, MD, FACP, Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Northern Westchester Hospital, has been appointed Co-Chair of the Chief Medical Officer Council for the New York Presbyterian Healthcare System. This committee is comprised of Chief Medical Officers from New York Presbyterian Healthcare System affiliated hospitals who work together to address healthcare quality, regulatory issues, management of medical staff, and other issues relating to enhancing healthcare quality and efficiency.

Dr. Koroly attended medical school at New York University School of Medicine, with membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society, and completed her internal medicine residency at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Koroly is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and served as the Medical Director of Beth Israel’s DOCS/Continuum Medical Group practices from 1993 through 2004. Dr. Koroly is currently the Senior Vice President for Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer at Northern Westchester Hospital and is chairman of the Stellaris Quality Council. In addition, she is council representative for the Hudson Valley South District of the New York Chapter of the American College of Physicians.
