The South Carolina Golf Course Site, http://www.GlensGolfGroup.com, Has Debuted With Fresh Content, New Capabilities And Enhanced Usability For Visitors

Officials from The Glens Golf Group in Myrtle Beach, S.C., announced today that the company’s new website has launched at http://www.GlensGolfGroup.com.

The site incorporates a fresh layout and color scheme; showcases new photography, video and features displaying The Glens Golf Group golf courses; contains social media sharing capabilities for content; and provides visitors with a better tee time booking experience.

The website will also include golf feature articles; profiles of all Myrtle Beach golf courses; details of both Glens Group and other Myrtle Beach package deals; and a weekly blog. This is the first major overhaul to the site since 2005.

“We believe that our new website provides a better experience for our visitors,” said Jason Himmelsbach, marketing director for The Glens Golf Group. “It’s now a detailed source of information for golfers seeking  any kind of Myrtle Beach golf package, or acts a planning guide for a golf vacation. It also makes booking golf tee times easy. We’re proud of the enhanced appearance and functionality of the website and our hope is that it will become the main resource for information, bookings, golf tips and other Myrtle Beach golf information.”

The website’s featured blog, “Paul’s Slice of Life,” (http://paulssliceoflife.tumblr.com/) will include posts about Paul Himmelsbach’s personal and professional life as a Myrtle Beach golf entrepreneur. A Myrtle Beach golf pioneer, Himmelsbach was recently inducted into the Myrtle Beach Golf Hall of Fame.

More information about The Glens Golf Group, which features some of the best golf in Myrtle Beach, is also available on its Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/TheGlensGolfGroup).

About The Glens Golf Group

The flagship of The Glens Golf Group is Heather Glen, which is located in Little River, S.C. on a magnificent, 400-acre historic site. Designed by Willard Byrd and Clyde Johnston, the course opened in 1987.

Glen Dornoch Waterway Golf Links, often referred to as “Myrtle Beach’s Most Talked About Course,” was designed by Clyde Johnston in a tribute to legendary course architect Donald
Ross. Glen Dornoch is a traditional course and each hole flows with the natural terrain of lakes, live oaks and spectacular marsh and river views.

Known as the “Friendliest Course On The Beach,” Possum Trot has an honored place in the history of Myrtle Beach golf. One of the first ten championship courses built along Myrtle Beach’s Grand Strand, which now has more than 100 golf courses, Possum Trot has stood the test of time. The course’s Old English design features spacious fairways, challenging par 5’s, as well as flawlessly manicured greens and spectacular flower displays.

Inspired by world-famous courses like Winged Foot and Augusta National, architect Clyde Johnston designed a traditional British Isles course at Shaftesbury Glen Golf & Fish Club, located on the banks of South Carolina’s beautiful Waccamaw River. Shaftesbury Glen was recently named 2009 Golf Course of the Year by Myrtle Beach area golf course owners.
