The web cast will include virtual participation in all the plenary sessions, along with Concurrent Sessions 11, 21, 31, 41 & 51.

Healthcare professionals can participate in sessions from the convenience of home or office and interact live with conference faculty to ask questions. The web cast is scheduled to start on March 8 at 8:00 a.m. PST. The registration fee for the live web cast option is $445 which includes 18 sessions and a Certificate of Attendance for up to 15.8 hours.

This dynamic meeting is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, nurse-midwives, physician assistants, registered nurses and other health care professionals interested in contraceptive management and women's health care.

Highlights Include:

  •     Dr. Robert Hatcher is getting serious about what clinicians need to do to really make an impact on the 3 million unintended pregnancies that occur annually in the U.S.
  •     Dr. Jeffrey Jensen takes an unfiltered look at why women don’t use their contraceptives.
  •     Dr. Michael Policar is sifting through the evidence – noting which is weak and which is strong – to cull the preventive medical measures that have proven themselves from those that arise primarily from strong opinion and high hopes.
  •     Dr. Emily Godfrey, one of the scientists who helped develop the U.S. Selected Practice Recommendations for contraceptive management, tells you how to bring your practice up to par with the best evidence available.
  •     What is riskier for STI/HIV – unintended pregnancy or hormonal contraception? Dr. Ward Cates tackles that more recent debate.
  •     Does emergency contraception live up to its promise? Dr. James Trussell makes the objective judgment.
  •     Dr. Anita Nelson addresses some surprising new findings about oral contraceptives.

Live web cast participants will also have access for two years to Contemporary Forums’ Online CE Library to view all the recorded sessions from the Main Conference and to earn additional credit hours free of charge for concurrent sessions that were not included in the web cast option. These online sessions can also be shared from the website with three colleagues at no cost. Colleagues will have the option to purchase post-tests to earn their own CE credit for the main conference sessions.
