Epiphany Cardiography Products, LLC, in conjunction with Philips Healthcare, announces the Cardio Server support of Open Worklist functionality for North American customers. By providing a bridge of communication using industry-standard protocols, Open Worklist allows for bi-directional communication of ECG order and worklist information between the Epiphany Cardio Server ECG management system and Philips PageWriter.

With Open Worklist, order worklists and associated patient demographic information can now be securely transferred from Epiphany’s Cardio Server to the PageWriter cardiographs. Requests are initiated from PageWriter using the integrated touchscreen interface. Cardio Server responds to those requests with a specific patient’s order - or the appropriate worklist. Open Worklist reduces typing requirements, enhances data accuracy and completeness, and speeds the reconciliation of orders for billing purposes.

“We value the opportunity to be working with Philips Healthcare, a leading provider of cardiograph and healthcare technology solutions,” states Joe Noto, Epiphany Cardiography Vice President. “Open Worklist demonstrates Epiphany’s commitment to open solutions and further shows what companies can accomplish by working together and actively listening to customers’ needs.“

“Support of Open Worklist further demonstrates Philips’ commitment to interoperability - breaking with the closed, proprietary systems of the past and partnering with our customers to meet their specific requirements,” added Scott Burkhart, Vice President of Marketing, Clinical Informatics North America for Philips Healthcare. “Customers should have the ability to select solutions that best meet their needs and we are pleased to have worked with Epiphany to deliver flexibility and workflow improvements to our mutual customers.”
