Art of Stepping announced its expansion to the west coast through its partnership with the UCLA Community Based Learning Program.
The UCLA Community Based Learning Program is part of the Office of Instructional Development at the University of California, Los Angeles. The mission of CBL is to assist young people with the transition from youth to adulthood, providing a variety of programs that encourage youth to move from secondary to post-secondary education and on to meaningful careers and productive adult lives.
Via this partnership with the UCLA CBL Program, the Art of Stepping after school program will be offered as an extra curricular activity at Jefferson High School, University High School, and Alexander Hamilton High School. The after school programs will launch January 9 and run through June 20, 2012.
“Our program not only teaches the art of stepping via mathematical formulas, but promotes leadership, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle,” noted Jessica Saul, AOS founder, “We are excited for this opportunity to expand and continue to spread an important message to our future leaders.”
The UCLA CBL Program states, “We look forward to working with AOS in this new endeavor.”
