Maximize Those New Gift Cards On National Shopping Holiday

The holidays are over, but consumers can still get in on deals by using their gift cards. Consumers will get more from all of those holiday gift cards by redeeming them on January 6-8, 2012, the newest shopping event of the holiday season, Gift Card Weekend (GCW).

During GCW, gift card recipients can redeem their gift cards from participating retail partners to receive extra value through special deals posted on the GCW website that will be offered for that weekend only. Gift Card Weekend is presented by Gift Card Impressions of Kansas City, Mo., the Retail Gift Card Association, InComm and Ceridian Stored Value Solutions.

GCW partners include national brands such as Sephora, Bass Pro Shops, Applebee’s, J.C. Penney Company, Inc., SpaFinder, Adidas and many more. Retailers don’t recognize gift card revenue until the cards are redeemed.
