DocLanding Announces Email Capability and Developers Site

The DocLanding email feature is one of the easiest to use and the most secure among cloud-based storage providers.

DocLanding, an Omaha-based company that specializes in cloud-based digital content storage, has announced its new direct email upload feature and the launch of the DocLanding Developers Site, which allows developers to build their own integrated applications using DocLanding's API.

"With our new email feature, users can skip the usual downloading, scanning, copying and pasting and send emails and attachments directly to their DocLanding account," CEO Timothy Campbell said. "The DocLanding email feature is one of the easiest to use and the most secure among cloud-based storage providers."

DocLanding users can email to their account by typing their user name, followed by "" The mail and any attachments will be added to the user's Sync File Cabinet. Users can also select the exact folder they want the email to go to by specifying the path in the subject line. To keep the email system secure, DocLanding only accepts emails from the address associated with the users DocLanding account.

The email function is the latest in a series of new features announced by the company. In the final quarter of 2011, DocLanding unveiled its Sync feature and DocLanding Mobile for the iPhone. Campbell has also announced the launch of a developers' site.

"We will continue to be aggressive in adding the functions and features that will make DocLanding the most secure, intuitive cloud-based solution," Campbell said. "We are looking forward to having other developers expand the DocLanding ecosystem and challenge them to help us create applications that will meet the evolving demands of cloud community."

Developers will find documentation for the DocLanding API at the new site. In order to begin working with the API, developers will need to request a key by filling out a short request form.

DocLanding was originally designed as an enterprise-level cloud-based document management system. It is now offers safe and easy storage and sharing options to businesses, organizations and consumers who have a daily need to collaborate on projects and to access documents, but don't have huge IT budgets.

Thirteen million files have been stored on DocLanding's US-based private cloud and the company's clients include thousands of independent users along with city and county governments, rail, medical and financial services firms.
