Bill Jacobs Plainfield-one of the leading Chevy dealerships in Plainfield, Illinois would like to announce that Chevrolet is making enhancements to the Chevrolet Volt in response to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration study of the crash battery performance of the Chevy Volt. Enhancements will include strengthening an existing portion of the Volt’s vehicle safety structure to further protect the batter pack in a sever side collision. Chevrolet and Bill Jacobs Plainfield put their customers first and want Volt drivers to have the safest vehicle available.

General Motors is enhancing the structure and batter from the possibility of an electrical fire occurring days or weeks after a severe crash. As part of the enhancement program, Volt owners will be notified in February to contact their Chevrolet Participating Volt Dealer to schedule service. GM is planning on honoring requests for loaner vehicles until the enhancements are made but since there is now an enhancement developed, the Volt buyback program has concluded. Volt customers will be receiving a personal letter from Mark Reuss updating them on this situation.

With the new enhancements made, the Chevrolet Volt will be better than ever and will ensure customers of their safety. Bill Jacobs Plainfield will be the destination for these enhancements and would be happy to answer any questions or concerns from customers. Please call Dan Exstrom, the Bill Jacobs Plainfield service manager at (877) 469-6896 for more information regarding the Volt enhancements.
