Hip hop artist C-Dubb recently released the official video for his single “First Time.” Coast 2 Coast Video Distribution presents the project, which can now be viewed at Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes. “First Time” is the visual representation of the artist’s first time being in love. The years of his bottled up emotions has been transformed into a beautiful love song.
C-Dubb was born and raised on the Westside of Jefferson, TX. Because his mother was young and raising five children in public housing, he and his older brother were forced to step up as the men of the house. At the tender age of 12, C-Dubb was introduced to the harsh world of gangs, guns, and drugs—without a father figure, he looked to the streets for guidance. He had his first child at age 17, which made him want to make better choices in his life, so he graduated high school and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Unfortunately, a duty assignment back in Texas sucked him back into his past life, getting him into a lot of unnecessary trouble and eventually leading to his discharge. With a second child on the way, and trouble still following him, C-Dubb was involved in a shooting, which wounded his sister and left another man dead. Though he was cleared in the incident, he soon lost his job. But while he was unemployed, he and a friend recorded a song on an mp3 player with music in the background. Hearing how good it sounded from such meager equipment, C-Dubb from that moment developed a passion for music and has been making it ever since.
C-Dubb is currently working on another album and several more mixtapes, all the while working and taking care of his children. He cites his musical influences as Tupac, Pimp C, and The Game. His current album is “Here I Come,” which includes the single “First Time.”
