At BETT this week, TBox Apps will launch Spanish and Scandinavian versions of their award winning app, Predictable.
Predictable, released in English in 2011, is a sophisticated AAC (alternative and augmentative communication) aid app for the iPad and iPhone. Following the positive uptake of Predictable by a wide range of communication aid users, including people with MND/ALS and cerebral palsy, TBox Apps decided to launch versions to cater for people of Spanish speaking backgrounds. The Spanish version includes nine Spanish voices covering a range of Spanish speaking countries and regions. There are also apps for those using Swedish, Danish and Norwegian languages.
In all the available languages, Predictable offers a sophisticated self-learning word prediction engine designed to increase efficiency in building messages. With the option of switch access or turning the whole screen into a switch, the app has been developed to cater to as many accessibility requirements as possible.
With the support of both AAC professionals and people who use AAC and their families, these new apps were developed with the hope to provide a viable solution for people with a range of communicative disabilities.
TBox Apps will be in the Special Needs Hall at stand SN22 at BETT. BETT runs 11-14 January at Olympia, London.
