In a world that revolves around surface relationships and shallow conversations it’s no surprise that studying and defending the word of God has become a menial task as well. Mark Hanna’s new book, Biblical Christianity: Truth or Delusion ($27.99, paperback, 978-1-61379-849-2; $9.99, e-book, 978-1-61904-155-4), has come at the right time. It consists of systematic analysis and rebuttal of some of the most current arguments made against Biblical Christianity. Not only does Hanna expose such arguments invalidity, but also explains how they actually end up supporting the exact issue they were trying to tear apart, the Christian faith.
“A reader will gain an in-depth understanding of the chief contemporary criticisms of the Christian faith and exactly why they fail,” states the author. “It will challenge anti-Christian critics to re-think their objections to it and it will strengthen the faith of the Christians and provide them with essential tools for fulfilling the mandate of I Peter 3:15, to provide cogent answers to people who question the foundations of our faith.”
Mark Hanna holds an M.A. in World Religions, as well as a B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. in Philosophy. He lived in the Middle East for four years, where he studied at the American University in Beirut. He has taught both undergraduate and graduate students in philosophy and theology at four, university level, institutions including California State University and Talbot School of Theology. He has been a lecturer at several other universities and seminaries, which is directly relevant to the content of his book. The author has also published a book titled, Crucial Questions in Apologetics.
