Patron Technology founder and CEO Eugene Carr and Product Manager Michelle Paul will share their expertise in CRM technology, ticketing, and audience development when they present Breaking the Fifth Wall: Rethinking Arts Marketing for the 21st Century at INTIX, International Ticketing Association’s 33rd Annual Conference & Exhibition entitled MISSION POSSIBLE: Resources, Results, Returns, that will be held January 17-19, 2012 at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio, Texas.

In the spring of 2011, Eugene Carr (CEO) and Michelle Paul (Product Manager) co-authored and published the book Breaking the Fifth Wall: Rethinking Arts Marketing for the 21st Century , and their INTIX morning session on Tuesday, January 17th, 2012, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, will address advances in technology and shifts in consumer behavior that have changed the way marketers build relationships with audiences. Their book Breaking the Fifth Wall: Rethinking Arts Marketing for the 21st Century, written for all those interested in audience development for the arts, proposes a new framework for arts marketing in the digital era. Today, arts marketers must break the “fifth wall” by reconnecting with ticket-buyers once they have left the performance venue with e-mail, websites, social media, and CRM.

This “Industry Trend” session is sponsored by Chairman’s Circle member Linda Forlini, of the New York Philharmonic.

Long heralded as the most important event of the year for entertainment ticketing professionals, the INTIX annual conference is designed for people directly or indirectly involved in ticketing the arts, professional sports, college athletics, arenas, fairs and festivals, ticket distribution, and entertainment management. INTIX considers the following as pivotal topics for implementation: understanding, selecting, and using the latest technology to streamline processes and facilitate communication with customers; learning how to convert data; using a database to its fullest; executing paperless ticketing, mobile ticketing, and access control; and Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
