Riedon continues to provide high-performance resistor products for demanding customer applications.
Alhambra, California (PRWEB) January 11, 2012
In their latest product designed for high pulse energy and high voltage applications, Riedon, Inc. has announced two new resistor products for demanding customer applications.
The new high pulse energy PCR series chip-style resistor series product is intended to fill industry requirements for overload protection to safeguard sensitive components in the presence of high-energy voltage or current pulses. The part is capable of withstanding up to 4000W for 0.1ms. The PCR series is available in six standard chip sizes (0603, 0805, 1206, 1210, 2010 and 2512) in resistance values to 20 Mohm ±5%, power ratings to 1.5W, maximum operating voltages to 500V and temperature coefficients to ±100 ppm/°C.
In a second product introduction, Riedon has also announced their new line of High Voltage MELF resistors. The new Riedon MGM-series, high voltage metal glaze film resistor, is intended for a wide variety of high voltage applications and is available in three standard surface-mount sizes (0207, 0411 and 0617), in resistance values from 50 Kohm to 2 Gohm ±0.5%, power ratings to 2W, temperature coefficients to ±100 ppm/°C and maximum operating voltage to 3000V, with short time overload to 6000V. The MGM-series provides a considerable increase in operating voltage over the standard Riedon MELF product, which is rated at 350V.
The PCR-series and MGM resistor products are currently available. For more information, call Riedon direct at 1-626-284-9901.
