New UK trade-in website Zapper creates a hassle-free and cost-free way for consumers to clear unwanted books, CDs DVDs and video games in exchange for cash.
Users simply enter barcodes of their items on the site to receive instant cash valuations. Items are then sent to Zapper via Freepost and once received, a cheque is dispatched within seven days.
Zapper is the only UK one-stop site that buys books, CDs, DVDs and games from the public. Almost all CD albums, DVDs and console games are accepted, as well as most textbooks.
Founded by serial online entrepreneurs Ben Hardyment and Mat White, Zapper originally began in 2009 as a book-trading platform for charities, recyclers and businesses. The site has now grown into a unique place for those wishing to de-clutter their homes and make some extra money.
“Zapper is perfect for those who want to free up space in their house and make some extra cash, without the hassle of uploading and selling each item individually via online markets such as eBay” says MD Ben Hardyment. “Increasingly, CD collections and other media are now piled in boxes and completely unused due to electronic storage and download. We can help you unlock their value in a few easy steps.”
The public can also donate the value of their used media to one of Zapper’s charity partners, notably BBC’s Children in Need, British Heart Foundation, Booktrust, DebRA, Medicins Sans Frontieres, Shelter, WaterAid and the World Wildlife Fund.
What they say…
"Excellent service, from start to finish. No complaints."
"Am singing your praises wherever I go. I can’t believe how much more space there is on the shelves."
