The announcement was made today by Chris McCleary, CEO, XOS Digital.

“Previously our Thunder editing system has been primarily used in conjunction with Dell hardware, but we want to present as many options as possible to our current and future Thunder customers,” McCleary said. “Through CDW, we can now offer alternative hardware solutions to power our editing software, which will make Thunder much more universal.”

In addition to its compatibility with Dell technology and hardware, Thunder can now also be used on existing or new HP technology solutions. CDW is a longstanding HP technology provider and is the preferred distributor for all XOS customers’ HP technology needs.

XOS Thunder can now also provides high-definition video at a decreased file size which decreases time spent capturing, editing, and distributing practice and game footage used by a coaching staff. The system allows coaches to enter data, share reports and drill down to sub-reports with video on a shared network. Reports are customizable with playlist, graphic, play drawing, video skills, hit charts and cross-tab. XOS Thunder is currently used by more than 240 customers in the football, basketball and hockey sports markets including many NFL, NBA, NHL and NCAA teams.

“After years of development and ongoing upgrades and improvements, Thunder is at the epicenter of sports video technology,” said Matt Bairos, executive vice president, XOS Team Technologies. “We now have more technology options to present to our customers, which ultimately gives them a wider range of choice when it comes to building the right digital coaching solution.”

XOS Digital will display the Thunder HD video editing system at Booth 408 at the 2012 AFCA Convention on Jan. 8-10 at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas.
