Beth Boman, Director of Sales and Marketing for the Embassy Suites Santa Ana – Orange County Airport North, was recently appointed the volunteer leader of the Family Readiness Group for the U.S. Army’s 163rd Ordnance Company. She is the first civilian to hold this leadership position and has already shown she is the right person for the job, raising more than $25,000 for active duty soldiers.
It’s an important role Boman knows has a lasting impact on military families.
“I’ve been a military wife and witnessed the impact the local and military communities have on young families,” explained Boman. “There is so much that we can do to support them, and this role gives me the opportunity to pull resources together to help.”
As the volunteer leader of the Family Readiness Group, Boman will help soldiers and their families prepare for deployment, educate them on the benefits they are eligible for and actively recruit and reward volunteers.
“We are extremely proud of Beth and her commitment to helping military families,” said Bill Upshaw, President and Chief Operating Officer of Windsor Management Services, which manages the Embassy Suites Santa Ana – Orange County Airport North. “This dedication embodies the values of Windsor Management Services and Embassy Suites. We are fortunate to call her our teammate.”
