A clear and shared vision and leadership play major parts in data-driven decision-making.

Dr. Victoria L. Bernhardt, Executive Director of the Education for the Future Initiative, says that true data decision-making gives schools information about their current situation and clues about what would help them improve, as well as the leadership to improve. Dr. Bernhardt will provide participants with a framework for Continuous School Improvement during part 6 of ENI’s School transformation webinar series, “Data-Enhanced Decisions: Using Data to Drive Classroom Instruction and Remediation,” on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. PST.

Dr. Bernhardt is well-known for her leadership in using data to improve student learning and affect systemic change. During the webinar, participants will learn:

  •     Why data are important to Continuous School Improvement
  •     What data are important to Continuous School Improvement
  •     How to analyze and use the results for Continuous School Improvement

For attending, participants will receive a signed copy of Dr. Victoria L. Bernhardt's latest book, "RTI and CSI - Response to Intervention and Continuous School Improvement."

Dr. Bernhardt says, “A clear and shared vision and leadership play major parts in data-driven decision-making. If there is no focus or unified front in a school, there is also no continuum of learning that makes sense for students, and no structure to increase student achievement.”

Dr. Bernhardt is the Executive Director of Education for the Future, whose mission is to build the capacity of learning organizations at all levels to gather, analyze, and use data to continuously improve learning for all students. She is also a Professor (currently on leave) from the College of Communication and Education at California State University, Chico.
