In 2012, The NRWA will continue to expand the organization’s focus to encompass current career marketing trends such as LinkedIn and other social media profiles. Due to the large number of professionals in career transition, the ability to market themselves with more non-traditional methods is becoming more and more vital to their successful job search. The NRWA is responding to that need by supporting their members with extensive educational opportunities including webinars, teleseminars, online training opportunities, and a professional certification program.
The NRWA offers its members unparalleled opportunities for growth and exposure, as well as education resource to expand a writer’s knowledge base, including the Annual Conference for keeping abreast of the latest industry trends. Membership with The NRWA differentiates career experts from their competition with the added credibility and leading-edge expertise.
The NRWA’s newly elected President Marie Zimenoff will lead the Board and will facilitate all short- and long-range planning, program development, decision-making, and problem solving for the Organization.
“In addition to member development and support, one of The NRWA’s goals has been public education and awareness,” says President-elect Marie Zimenoff. “The NRWA’s focus has been to create the preeminent standard within the resume-writing community and now we move those long-standing successful traditions to apply to today’s social media and e-Marketing opportunities.”
Also newly elected are Sharon Williams, Second Vice President, Ruth Pankratz, Secretary, and Regional Board members: Suzette Jolly (Region 1), Victoria Kidd (Region 2), Troy Johnson (Region 3), Michelle Penn Swanson (Region 4), Bob Janitz (Region 5), and Dr. Cheryl Minnick (Region 6) who represent NRWA members which reside in their specific geographical regions.
