The National Resume Writers’ Association (The NRWA), a group of the country’s top career marketing specialists, announces newly elected Executive and Regional Board members who take office January 1, 2012.
In 2012, The NRWA will continue to expand the organization’s focus to encompass current career marketing trends such as LinkedIn and other social media profiles. Due to the large number of professionals in career transition, it is becoming more and more vital for job seekers to market themselves with more non-traditional methods. The NRWA is responding to that need by supporting their members with extensive educational opportunities including webinars, teleseminars, online training opportunities, a professional certification program, and a mentorship program.
“In addition to member development and support, one of The NRWA’s goals has been public education and awareness,” says President-elect Marie Zimenoff. “Job seekers need a credible source of guidance in their career marketing and The NRWA’s focus has been on creating the preeminent standard within the resume-writing community. Now, we are applying those long-standing successful traditions to social media and e-Marketing opportunities to improve outcomes for job seekers.”
Also newly elected are Sharon Williams, Second Vice President, Ruth Pankratz, Secretary, and Regional Board members: Suzette Jolly (Region 1), Victoria Kidd (Region 2), Troy Johnson (Region 3), Michelle Penn Swanson (Region 4), Bob Janitz (Region 5), and Dr. Cheryl Minnick (Region 6) who represent NRWA members which reside in their specific geographical regions.
