Magnolia River International, Inc. has added Timothy Summey as Vice President of Civil Works and Jochen Floesser as Program Manager.

Tim Summey will lead the new Civil Works division, directly managing program pursuits and coordinating Civil Works business development with state and local governments and Federal agencies. “Tim’s 28 years of experience, broad industry expertise, and long term relationships in the civil works market will add greatly to the success of Magnolia River’s recently acquired geospatial operation,” said Kimberly Hoff, President and CEO of Magnolia River.

Jochen Floesser will be responsible for program management of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), including the planning, design, development, implementation and support of GIS and related technologies. “GIS has always played an important role in Magnolia River’s business and now will take on an even larger role across all divisions of the company” said Hoff. “Jochen’s depth and breadth of knowledge and his management skills will help propel Magnolia River’s expansion of GIS in existing and new markets.”

Tim Summey’s career began in the field, performing land surveying for projects across the United States and Latin America for Woolpert, Inc. With a strong foundation in geodetic control and boundary work, he moved into photogrammetric mapping. Tim’s communication skills and technical knowledge resulted in promotions into project management and business development roles. He was a co-founder of Southeast Digital Mapping which merged into 3001 International, Inc. which, in 2008, merged into Northrop Grumman.

Jochen Floesser, GISP, PMP, has more than 14 years in the geospatial and environmental industries, including more than seven years in program management and process improvement. He holds two Master of Science degrees in the geospatial sciences, one from Mannheim University, Germany, and one from Auburn University. Jochen served as a Project Environmental Scientist at HydroGeologic, Inc., an Application Development Coordinator for the St. Johns River Water Management District, IT Services Manager for SynerGIS GmbH, and Project Manager for 3001. After 3001’s merger into Northrop Grumman, he was promoted to Program Manager and Site Manager.
