The Ray Charles Foundation has ended its association with the Concord Music Group, announced Foundation President, Valerie Ervin. The entire Ray Charles music catalogue has reverted to the foundation with plans to distribute and brand the extensive works in other ways.

The Ray Charles Foundation now looks forward to new opportunities to share Ray’s genius.

The Ray Charles Foundation has ended its association with the Concord Music Group, announced Foundation President, Valerie Ervin. The entire Ray Charles music catalogue has reverted to the foundation with plans to distribute and brand the extensive works in other ways.

"Genius Loves Company," Ray Charles final album, was released on Concord in 2004, selling over 5 million copies, earning 8 Grammys including Album of the Year and Record of the Year. It was the apex of the relationship.

Ervin said, "We greatly appreciate the extraordinary achievements we shared with Concord. We look forward to new opportunities to share Ray’s genius."
