About the Author
Thomas “Tuck” Payne Sr, is eighty-seven years old, and was born in 1924 in Charlottesville, Virginia. He lived in the Depression years, and was a high school graduate in 1942. He was a veteran of the Army Air Force in World War II, honorably discharged on February, 1946. He worked as a master plumber, and retired in 1989.

He married Ella, his only love, from Buckingham County, Virginia on January 1945. Together, they shared their love with three boys and two girls. In 1968, they built a five-room cottage on the Chickahominy River for boating and fly-fishing for bass. As he said, Ella spoiled him for fifty-nine years before passing away.

He woke up one night in 2007, suddenly possessing a great urge to write. He is trying to fill that urge with one finger and a laptop.
