Debra J. Vaughn’s Collection of short stories will delight readers with its personal and profound observations

In life, despair often leads people to believe in the evanescence of hope and sink into the dark hole of depression. To get out of this rut, some people would embark on a soul searching journey to find answers and hopefully, themselves. For author Debra J. Vaughn, people need not travel far in search of answers. Sometimes they can find what they are looking for in the most ordinary place, where they least expect it. Vaughn found hers in her garden.

In Garden Lessons: Listening for God’s Voice, the author reveals, “I know God is working to make me like him. And often, he teaches me those lessons in the garden. I hear his voice clearly as he draws my attention to principles and truths, warnings and comfort as seen among the flowers, trees and bushes, hummingbirds and butterflies. I invite you to join me in wandering through the garden and listening to what God has to say to us.”

Whether pondering plants, squirrels, butterflies or birds, all nature provides Vaughn with fresh perspectives on Biblical principles, which she shares in Garden Lessons: Listening for God’s Voice. This collection of short stories will delight readers with its personal and profound observations. As the result of journaling over the course of several years, these lessons of encouragement and hope were refined in order to share them with groups to whom Vaughn was asked to speak.

From single parents to mothers of disabled children to Bible study groups, the author’s Garden Lessons became a favorite to all who heard them. Now compiled in book form with lovely pictures to inspire, Garden Lessons: Listening for God’s Voice can be read, remembered and shared with others for years to come.
