Lex Products Corporation, a leading North American manufacturer of power distribution and control products, has received ISO 9001:2008 certification for the design and manufacture of cable assemblies. Created by the International Organization for Standardization, ISO 9001 is an international standard that mandates requirements for an organization’s quality management system.

“Achieving ISO 9001 certification is a testament to Lex Products’ commitment to providing excellent service and manufacturing superior products,” said Vincent Bove, vice president of engineering for Lex Products. “This certification demonstrates that the company has a tried and tested framework for managing many processes, which helps to ensure the production of products that meet or exceed customer expectations in a timely manner.”

Lex Products manufactures cable assemblies in its Shelton, Connecticut headquarters. The company operates an additional manufacturing facility in Sun Valley, California.

In 2009, Lex Products gained ISO 9001 certification for its Shelton-based sheet metal fabrication department. During 2012, the company expects to attain ISO 9001 certification for 100% of its design and manufacturing operations in all three manufacturing facilities.
