Our tax update CPE courses provide tax professionals an affordable option for quality education that can be referenced year ’round.
Malibu, CA (PRWEB) January 13, 2012
ClientWhys (IRS Provider #VP8T3), one of the leading tax update CPE providers in the country, just released the 2012 editions of their new IRS accredited continuing education courses.
As of 2012, all tax preparers must register and obtain a PTIN number from the IRS. Tax preparers nationwide now need a minimum of 15 hours of continuing education to maintain their standing. California tax preparers need an additional 5 hours of state study for a mandated 20 hours. CPAs and enrolled agents will continue with their previous CPE requirements, and are not affected by the new requirements.
ClientWhys has bundled together several online self-study courses to meet the new IRS requirements. The bundled package starts at $60 for IRS registered tax return preparers (RTRP) and $80 for California tax preparers (CTEC). The bundled course includes 2 hours of ethics, 3 hours of tax update, 10 hours of federal review and the required 5 hours of state (California CTEC only).
“Our tax update CPE courses provide tax professionals an affordable option for quality education that can be referenced year ’round,” noted CTO Lee Reams, Sr. “We think the additional CPE requirement will add to the quality of the work of our profession and really benefit the taxpayer,” added Mr. Reams.
