In his new book The Master Disciple-Maker (published by WestBow Press), Hanna Shahin revisits the notions of propositional disciple-making versus incarnational disciple-making and the cost of the same not only to the [disciple but more importantly to the discipler or mentor as this is exemplified in the life of Jesus, the Master-disciple-maker ever.
According to Shahin, “[I was inspired to write this book by] my study of the model Jesus set in making disciples according to the four gospels and the vast schism between His example and the discipleship courses that are offered on the market today.”
“My book corrects improper readings of what it means to disciple,” says Shahin. “It sets the only true and valid interpretation of the same as Jesus models it in making His own disciples.”
The Master Disciple-Maker is a book with a very clear purpose for readers. As Shahin explains, “I want them to choose three to five individuals that they are willing to pour their lives into, that is to disciple them, and then turn them loose to do the same with others.”
