As the world grapples with falling economies, people are increasingly turning to non-conventional opportunities to make money. Among them is 21 year old Nathan Gilbert, a college student from Ohio who trades paintings at

In one of the most successful commercial art projects of recent times, Antoine Lucas – an investment banker turned visual artist, is helping people around the world tap into the lucrative art trading business through affordable, limited edition paintings from his latest collection – ‘Each Day of the Year’. This project is supported by artXchange – a proprietary trading platform for customers to buy and sell their artworks securely.

Nathan Gilbert, a 21 year old college student from Ohio recently traded two paintings for $1,500 - a 200% increase over his purchase price just a week ago. “Something about this project just felt right. I knew that people would want to own the days that I’d bought. Now that the project is getting even more popular, I am certain of being able to make good money with it,” said Nathan.

Emily Brandon, a 44 year old retail executive from Los Angeles, also sold one of her paintings for $550 - a 64% profit. “This is a great way to experience trading in art,” commented Emily. “The simplicity of the project and the low investment caught my imagination.”

In the first week alone, 114 paintings have been sold on, highlighting the interest that this unique project is generating. The paintings themselves simply have one day of the calendar year, hand-painted on them. The exclusivity of the collection comes from the fact that each day is painted only once.

"We want to let people know that it is possible to make money from Art. And you don't necessarily need to start thousands of dollars," quoted Antoine Lucas.

On artXchange - over 30 paintings have already been listed at 40 – 100% premiums.

“We mediate all transactions to safeguard the interests of our customers & maintain a database of all our current and past owners” said Anne Salazar, Manager for artXchange.

Given that such unique projects gain popularity very rapidly in today’s social age, it may not be very surprising to see huge returns for early buyers of this collection.
