hybris, a leading multichannel commerce software vendor, announced today its expansion into the Brazilian market with a new office opening in São Paulo. The move gives the software company, now fully incorporated in Brazil, a foothold in a rapidly growing market while bringing the number of global offices to fifteen in total.

Brazil is a robust market primed for commerce growth, with Forrester forecasting the e-commerce industry, currently U.S. $10 billion, will double over the next five years. hybris will bring its cross-channel management platform to South America to support this transition and deliver modern online shopping and service experiences. hybris will also continue to expand its partner network, working with companies that offer a range of deployment options and high degree of regional expertise. Current local partners already include Accenture, Concrete Solutions, Gouvêa de Souza, Keyrus, and Silt, among others.

“Brazil is ready for an integrated commerce solution,” said Daniel Couto, regional manager of Brazil operations. “Globally, we’ve seen a massive increase in demand for commerce software that integrates multichannel systems. We are excited to bring our expertise to companies in the South American market and look forward to working with local partners in Brazil that have a long-standing experience in the region.”

hybris’ flagship offering, the hybris Multichannel Suite, enables companies to not only manage multiple sales and communications channels on a single platform, but provides engaging cross-channel experiences for customers, partners, suppliers and prospects.

“It’s our mission to empower brands to implement multichannel commerce systems in an efficient manner in order to drive sales,” said Carsten Thoma, COO of hybris. “This means equipping organizations with the tools to deliver an exceptional experience, improve conversion rates and increase average order values. If organizations deploy the right resources to support a commerce solution that meets their needs, they can achieve a great return on investment for a relatively low cost.”

hybris has effectively expanded into other countries not only by localizing its services to regional market conditions, but applying its global commerce perspective to help brands drive online growth.

Most recently, hybris expanded its presence in the North American market after acquiring iCongo, Inc., a Montreal, Canada-based company with complementary multichannel commerce software and services. This transaction, along with its expansion into Brazil, reinforces hybris’ position as a global leader in multichannel commerce solutions with more than 380 B2C and B2B customers across the globe and a presence in 15 countries.
