NexLearn LLC, a custom education courseware developer with extensive expertise in creating immersive learning simulations, has announced today that they will be exhibiting at the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education (ACME) 37th Annual Conference on January 21-24 at Grande Lakes Orlando – The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott, Orlando, Florida.

Nexlearn will be showcasing a powerful new simulation technology which brings highly immersive medical simulations into a live continuing medical education (CME) setting. Developed jointly with EduMotion SA of Modena, Italy, this new method of CME delivery creates a simulated learning environment that places physician learners in risk-free, real-world scenarios. “Use of simulation in continuing medical education can be used to create real-world physician/patient situations. Delivering these immersive simulations to an audience of physicians in a live classroom setting can have a profound impact on physician behavior as a result of increased engagement and enhanced acquisition and retention”, stated Dennis Rees, President of NexLearn.

The company recently developed a medical simulation project on stroke prevention which has been accredited as a Performance Improvement CME (PI-CME) activity for Continuing Education Company, a New York based non-profit medical education organization. The CME activity simulates real-life situations and creates a learn-by-doing approach that allows learners to experience myriad plans of action—from successful to unsuccessful and everything in between, depending on the user’s knowledge level and performance. Every action path, whether right or wrong, is aligned closely to specific learning objectives to keep users on track to learn the essential information. NexLearn’s proprietary immersive learning simulation technology is a major factor in the company’s ability to rapidly develop highly engaging immersive learning simulations in a cost-effective and easily maintained environment.

The Alliance for Continuing Medical Education’s annual conference is designed to advance its dedication to accelerating excellence in healthcare performance through education, advocacy, and collaboration. The theme of this year’s conference is improving professional competence, provider performance, and patient care. The 37th Annual Conference provides tools and resources to meet the challenge of both healthcare and CME/CE/CPD professionals in addressing the needs, targets, and requirements of these fields.
