Packt Publishing, one of the world’s leading publishers of Oracle training and reference material, is pleased to announce the forthcoming publication of: Governance, Risk, and Compliance Handbook for Oracle Applications. Written by industry experts, the book covers the Governance, Risk Management and Compliance Management of a large modern enterprise and how the IT Infrastructure, in particular the Oracle IT infrastructure, can assist in that governance. The book is scheduled for a March 2012 publication.
As the book’s title suggests, Governance, Risk, and Compliance Handbook for Oracle Applications is divided into three primary sections:
Governance – which discusses the strategic management of the enterprise, the setting of plans for managers, disclosure, and more.
Risk Management – which discusses audit disciplines. This crucial section looks to map out what can go wrong, document what needs to be done to prevent failure; it moves through the various sub-disciplines within the audit profession and flags up what tools are best suited from within the Oracle stack to assist.
Compliance Management maps out the tools and facilities that have been discovered in the first two sections to frameworks and legislations. Information is provided from both an industry and geography agnostic viewpoint, with certain specific industries and countries showcased.
Who is this title for? Governance, Risk, and Compliance Handbook for Oracle Applications is aimed at individuals who advise boards, internal audit departments and CIO office on controls, security and risk assurance. Consultants that are implementing Financials or GRC Applications who wish to gain an understanding of the Governance Risk and Compliance processes, and how they are represented in Oracle, should find it a useful primer. Risk Assurance professionals will find it a reliable companion.
The book is scheduled for a March 2012 publication, and will be available from Packt Publishing and other leading retailers, in print, eBook, Kindle and selected library platform formats. Full details of this book can be found on the Packt Publishing website.
