Lifewatch Emergency Medical Services recently began offering round-the-clock ambulance transportation to medical facilities, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers and other health care facilities in Houston, Pearland, Friendswood, Alvin, League City, Nassau Bay, Webster, Humble and the surrounding communities.
“This new service will enhance the care that facilities can provide to their patients,” said Alex Amoretti, director of Lifewatch EMS. “With one phone call, medical staff can arrange transport for patients regardless of the level of service. All of our units are able to provide service from a basic level to the MICU level, from pediatrics to bariatrics.”
“Medical transportation is an integral part of the continuity of care in our community,” added Alex Amoretti, director of Lifewatch EMS. “Our experienced providers are hand-picked through an extensive screening process, undergo a month of specialized training including training in excited delirium and bariatrics and are required to be ACLS, PHTLS and PALS certified before transporting patients. Our patients can expect quality care without an increase in the current market prices.”
“We are using modern technologies in the field,” states James Zurga, Operations Manager at Lifewatch EMS, ”such as our web based scheduling accessible by facility coordinators, GPS mapping and electronic data systems; our crews are able to act promptly and efficiently in servicing our patients. Keeping prices low and quality high.”
“We believe in educating our staff, other agencies and local facilities about current compliance issues.” He added that “Compliance is a big concern given recent events and news in the area. Lifewatch EMS has taken a proactive stance to address these issues and has a fulltime compliance officer on staff. We are working together with local companies and industry leaders to promote a higher standard of care and good business practices.”
In addition, Lifewatch EMS will provide a comprehensive range of training programs year-round for area EMS agencies, medical facilities and community residents, including CPR, Home safety and Compliance classes.
