He’s the monster who lives under the bed and in the closet of every small child. The Bogie man has been scaring children for far too long and Jeannette Kielp’s new book, Bigger Than the Bogie Man ($24.99, paperback, 978-1-61904-591-0; $34.99, hardcover, 978-1-61904-592-7), helps put an end to that. This book shows children that they can conquer any enemy, including the Bogie man, by believing in and using God’s word. It will provide freedom from nighttime bedroom fears and will show children that there is strength in the power of the Lord.
“This book shows children how to overcome their fears by using God’s word and belief,” expresses the author. “I have personally experienced nighttime fears with the Bogie man as a child and even as an adult. I’ve come alongside many of my daycare children as well as my own children and grandchildren with similar fears. Through God’s word I have conquered the fear of the Bogie man and I’m hoping that through this book, others will find God’s strength to conquer their fear as well.”
Jeannette Kielp was raised in Illinois and has lived in the western suburbs of Chicago all her life. She and her husband, Jeff, have been married for twenty-four years. They have four children and three grandchildren. She has been a home daycare provider for over twenty years. Seven years ago she felt led to write; at first it started out as poetry and then books. This is the first book published by the author.
