Signature Kitchens, Additions & Baths, the leading kitchen and bath design firm serving the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, has released the newest video in its video interview series. The video, “Howard County Kitchen Remodel”, features an interview between one of Signature’s kitchen designers, Eniko Szlavin, and a past customer, Carol Dowling.

Standing in the new kitchen, Eniko and Carol talked about the kitchen design process, why Carol finally decided to remodel her kitchen, and why she decided to go with Signature Kitchens, Additions & Baths.

The video interview is the latest in Signature Kitchens, Additions & Baths’ video series and the first to take place in Howard County. Each of the videos follows a Signature kitchen or bath designer’s interview with a previous homeowner. “We started making the videos as a way to engage with both past and potential clients,” Gary Case, owner of Signature Kitchens, Additions & Baths, said. “We get to know our clients pretty well while we’re working with them, but it’s also helpful for our designers to see how their lives have improved along with the new space.

“I love the new kitchen, it’s so much more functional,” Carol said. The Dowlings’ old kitchen was still functioning - the appliances still worked and nothing was falling apart - but it was outdated and inefficient. “The way everything was arranged wasn’t super functional. To get from the sink to the cooktop we had to walk around the kitchen island to the other side.” The Dowlings had put up with the dysfunctional kitchen as long as they could until they decided that if they were going to sell the house eventually, they might as well have a few years enjoying a new kitchen.

For Carol, remodeling her kitchen was no easy task. Though she knew what she didn’t like about her old kitchen, she wasn’t sure of what she wanted in the new one. That’s where Eniko and Signature Kitchens, Additions & Baths came in. Eniko brought years of kitchen design experience to the Howard County kitchen remodel and was able to guide Carol through the important decisions in the kitchen design process. In the end, the Howard County kitchen remodel featured a traditional kitchen design with soft wooden textures and warm granite countertops. Eniko and Carol settled on a large kitchen island with a sink embedded in one corner and space for seating nearby.

“I didn’t have any ideas of what I wanted the kitchen to be, but Eniko and Signature Kitchens, Additions & Baths were able to help me figure out what I wanted. I’m not a big entertainer, but now when people come over I don’t have to be embarrassed of my kitchen.”
