San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) January 18, 2012
On February 2nd, 2012, Immaculate Conception Academy will host its 2nd Annual Women’s Business Luncheon: EDUCATE | EXPERIENCE | EMPOWER, featuring Betsy Rafael, executive at a major Silicon Valley technology company, as the guest speaker. About 200 professionals will attend the lunch at The City Club to celebrate the many business women in the Bay Area who serve as role models for students at Immaculate Conception Academy and other young women everywhere.
Paola Lopez, senior at ICA, will also speak at the luncheon, sharing about her experience at the school and particularly in the Corporate Work Study Program. The program, which is a distinguishing element of the Cristo Rey Network, of which ICA is a member school, enables students from families of limited financial means to cover a majority of the cost of their college preparatory education through working in entry-level clerical positions at businesses throughout the Bay Area. Students work at least one business day a week, and four students make up a team that fills one full-time position. This is ICA's third year as a full member of the Network.
The luncheon will begin at Noon on February 2 and run until 1:30 PM. Sponsors for the event include Union Bank, Kaiser Permanente, Nancy and Kyle Kirwan, Stonehouse California Olive Oil, Credo Restaurant, Taft Street Winery, and the San Francisco Business Times.
