The old cliché that a picture is worth a thousand words is often true in the world of claims adjusting” says Hutton, "Look at how many pictures are taken on nearly every claim.
Harpers Ferry, WV (PRWEB) January 19, 2012
Property adjusters take a lot of pictures. Most of the photographs are of the mundane problems faced everyday—broken windows, leaking pipes, damaged roofs. But, that all changes during catastrophic events.
During a disaster, adjusters are often one of the first people on site. They take hundreds of photographs documenting the damage and loss. They often have a firsthand view of the scope of the catastrophe before the clean-up and recovery begins.
MindCross’ “Through the Lens of an Adjuster” gives adjusters the chance to show others their view of the world. “We’ve trained a lot of adjusters and seen a lot of their photographs over the years” says Scott Hutton Training Director for MindCross Training, the company that developed WeTrainAdjusters. “Most of them are what you’d expect—pictures of day to day events. But, some of the photos we’ve seen are truly amazing, showing a disaster from a very unique perspective. We think that it’s a view worth sharing with others outside of the field”.
The contest starts January 23, 2012 and submissions will be accepted until May 15th, 2012. Contest rules and the submission process can be found on the WeTrainAdjusters.com website.
"The old cliché that a picture is worth a thousand words is often true in the world of claims adjusting” says Hutton, "Look at how many pictures are taken on nearly every claim. We’re hoping to give adjuster a chance to showcase some of their visual experiences”.
Through the Lens of an Adjuster will become an annual event sponsored by WeTrainAdjusters and MindCross Training. The contest is a companion to the MindCross Adjuster Story of the Year (MADSY) writing contest.
