“The new update makes searching faster and more efficient...And for cigar retailers and establishments, it's a way to increase their website traffic and overall customer base."
New York, NY (PRWEB) January 18, 2012
Cigar Finder 1.1 for iPhone was released Tuesday, the first update for the navigational app since its initial August 2011 launch into the App Store. A free app that helps stogie enthusiasts find cigar shops, smoking lounges, and smoke-friendly places, Cigar Finder now offers additional features like improved search capabilities and expanded profiles for retailers.
The app has received thousands of downloads and positive feedback from both merchants and app users for its simple design and extensive database. Since then, developers have made several improvements to the 1.0 version, which was rated 4 out of 5 stars by app users as of January 2012.
Most importantly, Cigar Finder has revised its merchant profile design to include a website link as well as a scroll bar to allow for longer descriptions and store promotions. For listings without descriptions, there’s an on-screen link to help retailers add their own information.
“The new update makes searching faster and more efficient,” said Communications Director Jaimie Siegle. "And for cigar retailers and establishments, it's a way to increase their website traffic and overall customer base."
In addition to the ability to search by a word or specific name, the new version also includes a revised “Did You Know?” section filled with cigar tips and tidbits written by a certified tobacconist. The categories “length,” “ring gauge,” and “wrapper color” have been added to the dossier section, so enthusiasts can keep track and make notes of each unique cigar.
