TechCXO, a leading provider of C-Suite-level strategic and functional consulting services for technology companies, has named Dawn M. Orr as the firm’s Managing Partner for the Northern Virginia/D.C. Metro region.
“The NOVA/D.C. metro market is a dynamic tech market that requires a proven and energetic leader. After a long search, we are very pleased to announce that we have found that leader in Dawn Orr,” said J. Kent Elmer, Managing Director of TechCXO. “Dawn’s experience and track record of success is exceptional. What we really like is her Accounting and Finance expertise paired with her very strong history in successfully running operations at the corporate level. That breadth of experience is what distinguishes TechCXO and offers clients superior value.”
Ms. Orr has been growing and managing private and public technology companies for the last 20 years, both as a member of senior and executive management at companies such as SAGA Software, Legent Corporation and BRIDGEWERX and as a Senior Manager with KPMG.
Ms. Orr began her career with Price Waterhouse. She is skilled in high growth and turnaround environments where she has supported organizations with their IPO’s, secondary offerings and mergers and acquisition activities while delivering strong gains in revenue, profits, and global market share, as well as making immediate improvements in operational strategic planning, investor relations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
“What attracts me to TechCXO is the quality of my peers, the firm’s unique business model and entrepreneurial approach, and the opportunity to do high impact work with varied and interesting clients,” said Ms. Orr. “TechCXO places a premium on counseling and working with clients on their most important issues, whether it is obtaining capital, increasing revenue, entering new markets or improving margins. It’s fun. It’s challenging, and I’m really looking forward to growing client relationships here in the DC Metro area.”
In 2011, TechCFO, TechCSO and TechCMO combined to form TechCXO. In 2009 and in 2010, TechCFO was named to the Inc. Magazine List of America’s 500 and 5000 Fastest-Growing companies, respectively.
