State of Utah Goes Google: Tempus Nova Contracted to Migrate 22,000 Users

Through a comprehensive and competitive bidding process, the Department of Technology Services received six proposals based on Microsoft, IBM, and Google technologies. Google Apps partner Tempus Nova was selected to bring modern email and collaboration tools to the State of Utah employees.

The State of Utah will be the second state, after Wyoming, to move all state employees to the Google cloud. With the help of Tempus Nova, Wyoming moved 10,310 state employees to Google Apps in less than eight months, saving the state approximately $1 million a year. The State of Utah, also looking to reduce information technology costs, as well as improving accountability and bringing a modern email platform will be migrating all state employees by the end of the year.
