Fanzy Files Multiple Patent Claims Covering Social Fan Loyalty App and Rewards Targeting Engine

Announcement covers patent claims filed since the company's founding in February 2011

Fanzy, a fast-growing Facebook application that rewards fans for spreading the word about the things they love, announced today that it has filed multiple patent claims covering multiple aspects of its social fan loyalty application, its underlying technology and its product model.

The patent applications cover, among other things, Fanzy’s proprietary influence measurement, the Fanscore, Fanzy’s Fanpage to Fan to Fanpage viral model, Fanzy’s rewards engine that enables targeting of consumers based on levels of influence and specific social achievements and the App’s broad business method.

Fanzy has now been added to more than 12,000 Facebook Pages with a total reach of 200M fans. More than 250,000 influential fans have installed the application and share their fan activity with Fanzy on a minute to minute basis. There are currently over 1.6M rewards available to fans on Fanzy.

Among the brands, sports teams, online games and music stars using Fanzy are, online video game APB Reloaded and music stars All Time Low and Mindless Behavior.

Facebook users discover Fanzy on a tab of a Facebook Page. Once installed, the application rewards fans for social sharing on Facebook and Twitter, and other activity.

Fanzy can currently be used by marketers at no cost.
