Barry Ellsworth slams personally corrupt career politician Shelley Berkley for paying lip service to the middle class while selling out to corporate interests on key votes. Ellsworth is running as a Democrat in the primary to enact real Wall Street regulation and actually fight for the middle class.

Barry Ellsworth announced his candidacy for the US Senate yesterday on Jon Ralston’s program, "Face-to-Face." Ellsworth founded a green energy company from his home in Las Vegas in 2004. The company has grown to become the fourth largest ethanol producer in the world, employing approximately 640 people.

“Our economy is a mess. Nevada has the highest unemployment rate in the country. There are more than 16,000 homeless children in Southern Nevada alone. Corrupt, incompetent career politicians, like Shelley Berkley, caused the mess Nevadans live in every day. Until we fire them all and get in new leadership that’s not bought and paid for by corporate interests, nothing is going to change.” Ellsworth stated.

Ellsworth is running as a Democrat against long-time Congresswoman Shelley Berkley for the seat vacated by disgraced GOP Senator John Ensign.” People are tired of a Democratic Party that claims to fight for the middle class, but ends up selling out to corporate interests every time an important piece of legislation comes up for a vote. People are equally tired of a Republican party that openly sells out the middle class to the same corporate interests, while they proudly protect the ultra-wealthy. It is a disgrace that career politicians like Shelley Berkley, who claim to fight for the middle class, cast votes that let Wall Street run wild in our banks and then shrug their shoulders when the economy implodes.” Ellsworth concluded.
