House of Brides will make an announcement Monday, January 23, 2012 pertaining to the bridal retailer and the bridal industry. Sources are speculating the announcement is regarding a possible new location.

President Eva Buziecki states, “Our focus has always been to provide our customers with the best shopping experience. Ongoing changes and adapting to the consumer needs is a big part of providing the best in selection, price and service.”

House of Brides premiered 4 specialty stores, 3 of which opened in 2011. The new stores include the Occasion & Quinceanera Boutique in Schaumburg, and the Occasion Boutique, Diva Bridal Plus Size Boutique and Quinceanera Boutique in Glen Ellyn. The boutiques join the 6 bridal salons for a total of 10 Chicagoland locations. With these recent openings, many think an 11th location may be in the works.

House of Brides is the oldest bridal name in the World. Business began in 1929 with its first store in Cicero. The retailer added brick-and-mortar stores through the years and established an ECommerce global website in 2001.

The bridal retailer actively seeks continued growth of its brand. The Research & Development team analyzes retail and consumer purchasing trends. According to their findings, they adjust their buying, marketing and policies to better service the customer. President Eva Buziecki states, “Our focus has always been to provide our customers with the best shopping experience. Ongoing changes and adapting to the consumer needs is a big part of providing the best in selection, price and service.”

An example is the opening of the specialty boutiques. House of Brides noticed a void in large bridal and big box retailers offering specialty merchandise such as special occasion dresses, plus size wedding dresses and Quinceanera gowns. These specialty collections are represented at some retailers, but often the inventory is limited in style, size, color and availability. House of Brides is the first area bridal retailer to premiere stores independent from the bridal salons dedicated to the specific product genre.

Some sources speculate Monday’s announcement will follow this trend. Early word is the retailer will appeal to the budget-conscious and time-constrained customer. House of Brides has not publicly disclosed details about the announcement but insiders indicated it would transform the way customers shop for wedding and special event attire. The announcement will be released Monday, January 23rd.

House of Brides currently has 10 Chicagoland locations. The bridal salons are located in Chicago, Glen Ellyn, Oak Lawn, Aurora, Orland Park and Schaumburg, the World’s Largest Wedding Store. The Occasions & Quinceanera Boutique is located inside the Schaumburg salon and houses special event and Quinceanera gowns and accessories. The Occasions Boutique is in Glen Ellyn and features special event apparel and accessories. Diva Bridal is also in Glen Ellyn and is the first salon in the country exclusively for plus size bridal. The newest store is the Quinceanera Boutique in Glen Ellyn, which offers gowns and Quince related products. The salons are open 7 days a week.
