Arlington, VA (PRWEB) January 19, 2012
Americans for Prosperity is launching “Obama Forgets,” a 7-day campaign that highlights what the group calls some of the Obama Administration’s worst offenses to the principles of limited government and free market enterprise.
AFP President Tim Phillips said, "The theme of the week-long effort is that President Obama seems to have 'conveniently forgotten' that he has been president for the past three years, and refuses to take responsibility for the economic woes, regulatory burdens, and skyrocketing national debt we face as a nation."
The effort will lead up to President Obama’s State of the Union address, when AFP will host watch parties throughout the country. The watch party in Tampa, FL will feature a live online broadcast with AFP President Tim Phillips and a very special guest, to be announced.
“President Obama apparently has forgotten most of his promises to the American people,” said Phillips. “For the last three years, we’ve been waiting for Obama to make good on his commitments. Instead, all we’ve heard is a long litany of empty excuses and class-envy talking points. He also seems to have forgotten that as president, we expect him to take responsibility for the challenges we face, rather than blame everyone else. While the president may have ‘forgotten,’ we remember clearly, which is why we’ll be hosting numerous watch parties and broadcasting comments and reactions live.”
Americans for Prosperity is inviting members and supporters to follow the 7-day effort by visiting http://www.ObamaForgets.com, and attend a hosted watch party on January 24th.
Phillips concluded, “It’s critical that citizens keep informed and not allow Obama’s attempts to whitewash his record and lay blame on everyone but himself to distract from his failed policies.”
