In her first book in the “Crawl, Fly or Run” series, children’s book author Barbara M. Yardman took readers on an exploration of all things wiggly and jumpy. In her newest book in the series, “Crawl, Fly or Run Book 2” (published by AuthorHouse), Yardman delivers more of the same.
An alphabetized collection of poetry, “Crawl, Fly or Run Book 2” is an educational look at animals, both in the wild and domesticated.
Long a poet, Yardman was encouraged to produce her “Crawl, Fly or Run” series by friends and fans. “I was inspired and encouraged by my friends and co-workers because I have always been their favorite poet,” says Yardman. “I have written poems all my life. It comes natural for me. Rhyming is fun and anytime someone wants a poem, they contact me.”
With the release of “Crawl, Fly or Run Book 2” Yardman continues to combine her love of writing, her love of animals and her love of teaching. From aardvark and ants to zorilla skunk, Yardman takes young readers through the alphabet one creepy, crawly, flying or running creature at a time.
“This book will appeal to readers of all ages,” says Yardman. “The target audience will be children who love animals of all species.”
