In 2004 Amy Wallace and Larisa Mishina presented their thesis, "Relations between the Use of Puppetry in the Classroom, Student Attention and Student Involvement." About the Author
Dr. Carole D. Hillman is a recently retired Professor Emeriti of Elmhurst College. She received her M.Ed. from the University of Illinois and both her doctorate and post doctorates from Northern Illinois University.
Hillman began her work teaching second grade and has taught classes in early childhood education as well as advanced levels. Many of her writings have involved a blending of subjects and a variety of hands-on activities and programs for the early learner. In addition she has written articles, materials, texts and programs for learners at various levels of development. She also developed a variety of materials making use of state standards for The Chicago Tribune, which teachers could utilize as they taught children.
