The Lymphoma Research Foundation (LRF) – the nation’s largest non-profit organization devoted exclusively to funding lymphoma research and to serving those touched by the disease – is pleased to announce the launch of a new website for people affected by Hodgkin lymphoma ( The new website provides visitors with information pertinent to Hodgkin lymphoma, including diagnosis overview and treatment options for the various types of Hodgkin lymphoma. The site also provides visitors access to the Foundation’s free patient and caregiver resources, such as disease-specific booklets, fact sheets and webcasts/podcasts.

Lymphoma – the most common type of blood cancer – comprises more than 67 subtypes of two related cancers that affect the lymphatic system, Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). There are six primary types of Hodgkin lymphoma, formerly known as Hodgkin disease. According to the American Cancer Society, nearly 9,000 new cases of Hodgkin lymphoma are diagnosed each year in the United States. Although the cancer can occur in both children and adults, it is most commonly diagnosed in young adults between the ages of 15 and 35 and in adults over age 50.
