The National Motor Freight Traffic Association, Inc. (NMFTA) launches ClassIT® Mobile, its mobile version of the National Motor Freight Classification (NMFC) publication.

This latest iteration of the NMFC product takes ClassIT®, the online version out of the office and into the field. The Index to Articles and Articles Section of the NMFC are searchable directly using a smartphone’s web browser with no additional need to download any applications.

ClassIT Mobile has the same fast, flexible search engine with the embedded search terms as ClassIT. And as with the online version, when a search word or term is entered, ClassIT Mobile also displays the results from Index to Articles and Articles section in two tabs on the screen. To view an item, simply tap the hyperlinked description or item number and the item and its relevant headings and Notes will be displayed. Or if the item number is already known, then simply enter the number into the search field and the full text of the item, its headings, and Notes will be displayed. The integrated density calculator facilitates determining a handling unit’s density fast and easy even as it is leaving the docks. Simply enter the extreme dimensions and total weight.

Current ClassIT subscribers are able to access ClassIT Mobile at no additional cost. The same login information is used for both the mobile and online versions.
